I never did get around to posting photos of last years snow. I have so many photos to post on here now! It's been a very hectic year with working full time and spending time with my family. Time is flying by way too quickly! I do manage to get a lot of photos posted on my facebook page. I've really neglected my blog and flicker pages though. I have so many creative things I want to do and just not enough hours in the day!

I WILL get some photos posted!

I was at Silver Lake the other day taking photos of my grandson when we saw the heron I've been trying to pictures of for years! Watched him catch the fish and fly across to the other side.....he was so quick it was hard to get any photos of him!

I don't believe I posted any photos of all the snow we had here on my blog. I did post a bunch on my Flickr account. I will have to put some on here. This has been a really rough year around here with all the rain and snow. In driving for my job I see all the fields that just look like ponds and think about the poor farmers that can't get out to plant. I can't imagine the effect this is going to have on our fresh produce around here, and this will hurt the farmers for years to come. I'm sure it will take them a long time to recover.

Here's to hoping we see that big golden orb in the sky more days than not from here on out!

I was sitting here yesterday morning, having my coffee and this is the view out my window. I just had to go out and take a few pictures. Spring is FINALLY here....it's so beautiful! Especially after the winter we had!

We took our daughter here to eat for her birthday over the weekend. She loves this place! We all do.....the food is fantastic and very reasonable. Neat atmosphere too. I've been wanting to take some photos and finally did....had fun over-doing the editing, but I think they came out pretty neat!

We finally got our flower pot tower done...I need to get more flowers for the one pot but I'm thrilled with the way it came out!
The Thunderbirds were practicing today for the air show this weekend and flying right behind our house....of course till I got out there they were gone so I took some pictures of my flowers!

I managed to get one picture of them...every time I went back inside thinking they were done...here they came again!

These are just a few of the photos I took of my daughter at the Star Barn in Middletown, PA. This event was set up by a model on Model Mayhem. I was so thrilled to get to see that barn! I always wanted to photograph the barn....as a kid driving past it!

I had some time to waste today so I stopped by the veteran's cemetary. I always find veteran's cemetaries emotional. There was a funeral procession coming in as I was leaving. It's a very pretty area and this is why we celebrate Memorial Day!

Hubby had to go to NY Penn Station the other day (he's trying for a job with Amtrak) so I went along and we did some sight seeing. It was pretty foggy in the morning so the view from atop the Empire State building wasn't the greatest.Me up in the fog.

These were taken by my hubby one foggy morning in February. I was driving to work and of course didn't have my camera and saw a gorgeous stand of trees along the road - all foggy and frosty. Amanda and I went to New York City the other weekend for the Christmas show at Radio City. It was fabulous! The Rockettes are just awesome - it's amazing the precision! We had a great time and it was even snowing Saturday night when we got there - talk about setting the mood!

I did these photos with Cherrish, my neighbor and a model on model mayhem. We were going for a ghost bride from the late 1800's wandering the graveyard for her love. I think we did pretty good! It was a lot of fun doing this shoot, even though we got up before dawn hoping for good light and some ground fog. We got the good light - but no fog that morning :(.

I took these photos the morning we left for West Virginia. There was a photo scavanger hunt set up for the group so I was out getting pictures for that. I never did upload them and enter them in the hunt! This was the scene right across the street from the church and cemetary. I hoped they weren't disturbing anyone!

This was the most gorgeous sunset I have ever seen! We had just come off the Skyline Drive onto Rt 64 when this sunset happened. This was on the way to the meet up in West Virginia. These were all taken through the car windshield - hubby driving 65 mph down the road! It was so awesome - words really can't describe.

Some pictures I took at Little Creek Wildlife Area today. I have a visit nearby and it was such a nice day I decided to stop there and see if I could get any neat pictures. Well there weren't any birds around put I got some neat pictures of the marsh.

Put my wide angle lens on the camera to get some pictures of the made over room. I just love the way it looks and can't wait to get the furniture back in!I took this first picture on auto and it's a little dark because of all the light from the windows.

We went to California the beginning of December as our Christmas present to ourselves. The scenery is so different out there! I guess it's a different beauty out there - the hills seemed so barren. I really wanted to see the Hollywood sign - it was pretty cool seeing it in person and not on tv or in a movie!
This is Canyon Lake and looks out over LA - of course it was pretty smoggy there. This is right at the bottom of the hill where the Hollywood sign is.
I thought all the houses on the hill was so neat! I can't imagine living like that though!

I was out doing nursing visits this afternoon and driving through the country side I noticed the clouds. I thought they looked really neat....then I thought the farm in the distance was cool and the weeds blowing in the wind were neat too! So I took pictures of all of them. Didn't have my dslr just my little point and shoot but I think it does a really good job too.

I like that I think I can see the motion of the weeds in this picture.

Flags are still flying in the breeze, although they were only flying on this one side! The other side the flags were perfectly still. The capitol dome was the last picture before getting back on the metro and heading home.

This was particulary emotional for me as my dad was a Korean War vet and often said how no one cared about the Korean war. He wore a hat that said "Korea - The Forgotton War". He didn't live to see this memorial built.
